My journey into a deep self reflection started when I left home at the age of seventeen. I grew up with a parent who suffered with a mental illness, and this deeply impacted me in many levels. I decided to travel and explore the world, hoping to find ways to have a healthier relationship with myself. I spent time in India and this had a huge impact on me -and changed the direction of my healing journey.  There, I found ways to connect with myself that I did not realize were possible - a sense of wholeness that I did not realize was even missing.

I underwent a deep healing experience that led me into new places. I began to open up and embrace shadows that I had hidden in the corners, the parts of me that I disliked. Slowly I began to experience the freedom that comes from releasing stuck parts; beliefs hidden under the surface that had been holding me back for years. As a therapist, I bring decades of my own experiences of healing as much as I bring the tools of therapy that I have learned from the classroom.

In addition to being a therapist, I am also a mother and parent of three boys. Parenting has been a beautiful opening experience, AND I also suffered from post natal depression with my first child.  Working through this and many other parenting challenges - and coming out the other side - allows me to more deeply show up and support the dualities of parenting life. I enjoy helping parents navigate those challenges that naturally can arise in parenting and can bring to the surface triggers that we did not realize were even there. These challenges can be the portal into new growth in both the parent-child relationship, as well self-relationship.

I deeply care for each of my clients, and hold them in a space that is warm, compassionate, and real - as we navigate hard places together. I bring all of myself to the table, my skill set combined with personal knowledge of healing life challenges.

One of the things that fills my cup is my love of nature, and spending time in my garden.  Camping,  swimming in the oceans and lakes, all bring me immense joy.

My Background:

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC, M.Ed) and completed my Masters in Clinical Counselling at Adler University.   I use trauma informed, and person-centered and a somatic counselling approach that is client led.  I also find aspects of  DBT and CBT helpful, and use parts of these approaches as needed.

I have worked with many survivors of adverse life experiences including childhood trauma and relationship trauma, and I am passionate about healing and empowering people to show up in their lives in the way they wish to.

Life is filled with many transitions, ups and downs, and unexpected turns. Each one requires care.  My goal is to provide you with that care and help you navigate through the difficulty and chaos.

My Therapeutic Approach:

I am a safe, non judgemental space for you to unfold into the work of healing.  I will support you to work through those unhealthy patterns that have been on repeat - and to let go of what is no longer serving you. I will support you to create healthier patterns, more in alignment with your core.

Whether you are struggling with a life transition, anxiety, depression, or challenges in your relationship,   I will meet you where you are, and we will work together to create change.

Feel free to reach out and book a free, no obligation, 20 minute consultation to connect with me. I sincerely look forward to connecting with you!
